BUCC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2015

5th & 6th December 2015

 

 

Bukit Unggul Country Club had successfully held its Club Championship on 5th & 6th December 2015. The two days event attracted a good number of players to compete over the 36 holes competition.

 

General Manager May Wong says, “This is a real true challenge for all the participants as the pin positioning for most of the holes are difficult and tricky.” She added, “Some of the participants were caught by surprise as the green speed are unusually fast and some of them returned with 3 to 4 putts on difficult green even though they managed to put 2 on.”

 

Abdullah Dania, a member of Danau Golf Club and a 3 handicapper emerged as the Gross champion with a total of 155 strokes over 36 holes golf. He walked away with a 32” TV and a trophy. The 1st runner up went to Amiruddin Ali, handicap 6 with 157 strokes followed by David Spittal, with handicap 6 as well who returned with a total of 168 strokes.

 

A Ganeson, handicap 10 who walked off as the champion in the Nett category with 141 strokes, ahead of Anuar Salleh, also handicap 10 by a mere 1 stroke in second placing. The 2nd runner up went to Dato Seri Dr. Emel Faizal, handicap 18 with 143 strokes.

 

The prize presentation ceremony was held at the Eagle’s Loft pool side with a wide spread of local delicacies with a free flow of beer. Not only the winners went back with handsome prizes but all the participants won something from the lucky draw as well. Most of them are full of spirits to return for the next tournament.
